Motex Magic...with Lizzy Hill

...or so it seems to me! Lizzy with you today sharing my DT page from Once Upon A...Sketch this month. I really, REALLY love my Motex writer. Now, I know some peeps have issues with it sticking down - but I've found using some Glitter Art or Helmar glue works a treat!
Nothing like doing a boy page for a change!
My Motex 'wheel' doesn't have an apostrophe on it - but this little raised icon works just as well:)
I've also used a lovely PP spotty button. It WAS black & white--- but I needed it to be blue & white. Simple! I just used some Distress ink to change the colour!
Hope these couple of hints help you make the most of your stash:)
Happy Scrapping ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

"In the middle of the night" - by Arnlaug Koppang

This page is made for the first challenge at the "new" Color room. The color room are merging with Scrap for Help, and we will incorporate a household item to use with the Palette, making the challenge even more fun, creative and 'green', using some of the throw away items in our crafting.  In the future we will incorporate Cynthia's vision of helping the community, to raise money here and there for worthy charities across the Globe, which we plan to do periodically.  So watch out for that too!!!

This page is made by adding molding paste, mists and then gesso.
As Junkmail I've used some stamps and also a luggage tag from the vacation I've scrapped:-)

On this page I've used one of my super cute elephant buttons and a ticket from Purple Pumpkin.

hello...helloooo.....

Today I would like to share with you a couple of layouts I have completed for a few challenges.

The first layout is a layout for 123 Challenge.

COLOUR: PASTELS * WORD: DREAM * TECHNIQUE:FRAMES

This layout is so different to my scrapping style- so it was defiantly a challenge!!LOL
I used a some tickets and a spotty button which I cut in half instead of wasting 1 half under a photo.

Here are a few close ups:

My next layout is for Scrap the Girls

I haven't played along here for a while

BUT

who could resist doing a challenge with doileys and hearts !!!! I thought Purple Pumpkin doileys were perfect for this challenge.

I have used a spooty button again and a fabric button with icecreams which I thought went really well with the theme of my layout.

Here are a couple of close ups:

Well I can't believe its nearly April already!! This year is going very quickly.
Hope you have been inspired to scrap and I do hope you can join in with this months sketch designed by myself- there is still time to enter!!

Eat layout by Yvonne Yam

Hello there. It's Yvonne here to share a layout about food. My family went on an eating vacation in Taiwan last year where we ate lots of yummy food. Even though they didn't appear to be at first. *winks*

I love using the effect of torn washi tape from the Purple Pumpkin store. It adds a pop of colour as well as texture. :)

Shine - by Monique Liedtke

Today and tomorrow Jenni Bowlin Studio is hosting an online crop with lots of fun challenges.  And because I have a subscription to their kits and their March kit just arrived, I decided to put it to good use straight away!! One of the challenges was to create a page using cotton thread and paint ... well, I can do that!!

So here's what I made, a page about my lovely daughter.

What I love about Purple Pumpkin's goodies is that they coordinate with so many of the products I use. On this page I've used PP stars washi tape, tickets and twine.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back soon!

Hugs,
Monique

Forever - by Monique Liedtke

Hello Purple Pumpkin fans!

For today I've got a layout to share I created when I had a crop with friends last week. I used Doodlebug's "Sweetheart" collection and a "selfie" of my Cocker Spaniel and me.

I love how many of Purple Pumpkin's goodies coordinate with this collection. Take for example the fabric button with the pink elephant. Isn't it super cute? Okay, so it's not a dog, but it comes close, right?

Or the pink twine and the red washi tape with hearts, they've got the perfect colors for this page!

Thank you so much for stopping by Purple Pumpkin's blog today! Hope I've inspired you a little today :) !

Hugs,
Monique

Hello there Purple Pumpkin fans! It's Yvonne here to share a layout about a bus adventure I took with my niece and nephew. :)

I used some lovely washi tape from the Purple Pumpkin store and lots of little bits and pieces from my "save-it-for-a-rainy-day" box.

I love that I can "dress up" my Purple Pumpkin fabric button with a sticker. :)

Project Life - sort of...with Lizzy Hill

Hey there! Sometimes I 'cheat' with my PL ideas. My son got married last year, & I'm in the middle of doing an album, & have done a few LOs ---but there were photos I wanted to scrap...but not make a feature page of. My solution? PL style pages. But NOT using the PL plastic sleeves. Why? Cos they are a little inflexible. Take this page:
You can't create flower 'trails' like this in the plastic folders....but doing it this way, you can!
For my backing paper, I used those 12x12 pieces of paper that come in your pack of normal scrapbooking sleeves. They don't need to be card stock, because the photos provide the strength to your page.
Here's a page where I used a cute little flower PP button:
It also means you have greater flexibility for arranging your photos. Sometimes the folder only allows room for a couple of portrait photos, for example, which can simply NOT work with the photos you have on hand.
Because these were all wedding photos, I actually went through my PL stash first - along with my inks & embellies - & chose what I thought would work as a colour combo. This created continuity for my pages. Below is a FABULOUS satin flower from the PP shop:
I punched out a few leaves for around the edges. Can you see most of the photo corners are rounded? Using a punch to do this creates a look that is similar to the PL style:) More 'faking it'!!
I really enjoyed doing these pages, & was quietly happy with my fake PL....maybe you can find a use for it in scrapping those 'events' where you have lots of photos, too:)
Thanks for looking & happy scrapping ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

One Direction with Monique Liedtke

I have a 17 year old daughter who's totally smitten with the boys from One Direction especially with the blond one, Niall. She has countless photos and posters of them in her room, went to their concerts when they were in Holland and when they are in London next June we're going there too! Yes, she's a true fan!! Oh how she would love to meet them irl!

For today I created a layout of her posing in front of a 1D photo. I used a lot of Jillibean Soup and combined it with a crochet Purple Pumpkin doily, a piece of red PP washi tape with hearts and some PP twine

I'm sooooo happy with my Purple Pumpkin goodies!! Here's a close-up of the washi tape and the twine:

and here's a close-up of the crochet doily:

and a close-up of the Silhouette cut I used and a tag with hidden journaling:

Thank you so much for stopping by Purple Pumpkin's blog today! I hope I gave you some inspiration to scrap!

Hugs,
Monique

"waiting for the bus" - by Arnlaug Koppang

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a fantastic saturday:-)

Today I'm going to show you a page I did for the latest case file over at CSI. Still time to join in on the fun;-)
I recently went on vacation to Tenerife with my family. So nice to get some sun and warm climate in the middle of the cold norwegian winter:-)

This page is made by simply stamping some distress ink on a acrylic block and sprizing it with water, and then pressing it on to the cardstock.

Next I layered some Purple Pumpkin washi tape and some stamps. I made a flap by stapling together a tag, a little paper bag and a project life card. Behind it are some more memories from our trip.

As always the buttons are just perfect for the cute little details:-)

 Looove the bird washi:-)

I also love using motex tape for the title.

Thanks for looking:-)

Hello...Helloo...

Hello people's...hope you are having a great week.
My week has been busy with work, helping with kids assignments and sport.

Today I am sharing a just because layout. I don't often get to scrap these layouts but I felt the need to pull out my papers and trimmer and I created this layout.

I love bright colours, so when I developed this photo of my niece I decided to go bright and funky to match her T-shirt.

Here are a few close ups of the Lollipop Fabric Buttons on my layout:

You couldn't miss them!!! LOL

Thanks for stopping by today on the blog...

By the way....

Have you checked out this months sketch designed by me????

I don't do these very often, so I would love you to enter this month if you can find the time to scrap.
